Managing Electronic Records with Existing Systems

This workshop addresses how to use the existing desktop computers and local area networks that most offices already have to manage electronic documents and information as records. Many offices need electronic records management but cannot afford to buy an electronic records management system. This workshop will explain how to create the essential elements of an electronic records management system, including organization, retention, and disposition, using existing local area networks. 

Biography:  Bill Greathouse is a graduate of Western Washington University's archives and records management administration program. He has served as records manager or archivist for a county government, the Nevada State Supreme Court, the Nevada State Archives, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Archives. Greathouse has worked as a records management consultant for local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as private individuals and corporations.
